Mandy Mayock
Licensed Professional Counselor

Sometimes, we don't feel quite like ourselves and we don't know why...

My approach is warm, empathetic, engaging and direct. I am committed to helping my clients achieve emotional wellbeing and personal growth. As a clinically trained, licensed, and experienced therapist I can help you overcome adversity and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.  Whether you are trying to understand and manage difficult situations from your past, working to resolve a pressing emergent issue, or challenging yourself to grow and transform into the person you feel you have the potential to become, I can help you achieve healing, growth and change.
Using an integrative client centered approach to therapy, I pull from psychodynamic, CBT, DBT and collaborative problem solving strategies. From this base I will work with you to fully understand  your unique goals, experiences and traumas and tailor your therapeutic experience to fit your individual needs.

A (very) brief history

I achieved my undergraduate education at The University of Toronto and completed my master’s degree in counseling from Eastern University. I have been a licensed therapist since 2015 and currently hold licenses in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Nevada. I am an active member of the American Counseling Association and provide counseling through telehealth. I currently take Aetna and Cigna insurance but if you are out of network I will provide a superbill that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement.

I have also completed my 500 hour yoga therapy training and use mindfulness and  breath-work in my practice.

Last year, I published a children's picture book called Willow The Highly Sensitive Pup which normalizes neurodiversity in children and  debuted #1 on the Amazon list for children's social skills. I am currently working on a new book entitled Peter the Always Dancing Dog which will help children understand attention deficit disorder and help reduce it's stigma.

I live with my husband Mike and two rescue dogs Willow and Maxx and sometimes my grand-dog Peter. I have two children and two step-children and have lots of experience with blended families.
